This picture of 'dagsa' was taken during one of my family's visits to Gulf View Beach Resort in Sitio Toril of Davao City.
Dagsa is Bisayan term referring to fishermen ushering their catch to people near the beach - sometimes a dollar per kilogram of coral fish. Few proselyte the selling along the beach line and the guy seen here patiently waits for his company as sea current drifts him. They are called Bajao in local dialect. He is waiting for his kinfolks to wave a signal that a sale was done and that they are ready to be fetched from ashore.
